Complete Mitogenome of Trichoderma texanum and its Phylogenetic Placement

We present the complete mitochondrial genome of Trichoderma texanum, recovered by de novo assembly and curated annotation. The molecule spans c.a. 31 kb as a circular contig and encodes the expected oxidative-phosphorylation and ribosomal set: fifteen annotated protein-coding loci, a full complement of twenty-seven tRNAs, both rRNA subunits, and one additional predicted ORF. Phylogenomic inference from concatenated mitochondrial proteins resolves T. texanum in closest affinity to T. koningiopsis, tightening relationships within the genus and providing a mitogenomic reference for downstream comparative work. This study provides valuable insights into the mitochondrial genome organization and evolutionary relationships within the genus Trichoderma.
